ProtectUK app / NaCTSO guidance

ProtectUK was created to support organisations to evaluate and manage risk posed by terrorism. It was developed by the Counter Terrorism Alliance, a focussed collaboration of three leading organisations: NaCTSO (National Counter Terrorism Security Office), Homeland Security Group (Home Office) and Pool Reinsurance.

Part of the assistance offered is the ACT app which offers key, actionable content on the go. This app has recently been rebranded as the ProtectUK app and remains available on the Apple and Andoid app stores. The app is free and provides access to:

• practical advice and guidance to help you protect your business, plus information on how to respond in the event of an attack;
• information on CT Policing’s suite of ACT training products, plus access to the online e-Learning package;
• suite of NaCTSO guidance videos;
• latest reference documents and publications;
• ACT online reporting form and confidential hotline;
• emergency response and post-incident guidance; and
• live-time news updates from UK Protect.

Also of note, the GOV.UK NaCTSO webpage will no longer be updated with guidance and instead current and future NaCTSO guidance can be found by visiting https://www.protectuk.police.uk/
